General Wellness at-home test helps anyone interested in proactively monitoring and improving the state of their liver and kidney health from the comfort of their own home. This test measures 8 biomarkers, such as albumin, alkaline phosphatase, cholesterol and high-density lipoprotein among others.
What does our General Wellness kit measure:
  • ALB: Albumin is a protein made by the liver that helps maintain fluid balance in the body. Measuring albumin levels may indicate liver or kidney problems. Albumin can leak into the urine when the kidney fails, which can result in low albumin levels in the blood.
  • ALP: Alkaline phosphatase is an enzyme that is found in various tissues throughout the body, including the liver, bones, and intestines. ALP helps to convert proteins into energy.
  • ALT: Alanine transaminase helps to break down proteins and convert them into usable energy.
  • BUN: Blood urea nitrogen is a waste product that is formed when the liver breaks down proteins. Elevated levels may indicate kidney or liver disease, dehydration, or heart failure.
  • CHOL: Cholesterol is a fatty substance that is essential for the body's cells but can also contribute to the development of heart disease if levels are too high.
  • CRP: C-reactive protein is a marker of inflammation in the body. Elevated levels may indicate infection, injury, or chronic inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis.
  • GGT: Gamma-glutamyl transferase is an enzyme found in the liver and other tissues.
  • HDL: High-density lipoprotein is a type of cholesterol that is often referred to as "good" cholesterol because it helps remove excess cholesterol from the blood and can lower the risk of heart disease.

How It's Collected:
This kit involves collecting a finger prick blood sample. You will puncture one finger with a lancet and allow a small amount of blood to flow into the blood collection tube. Detailed instructions are included in the test kit.
